Art Hop @ The Soda Plant!

The biggest weekend of the year is upon us! The 20th Annual South End Art Hopkicks off Friday at 5pm and goes all weekend long. You can visit over 100 sites and see thousands of pieces of art and performances throughout the South End of Burlington. We recommend one important stop on your travels: The Soda Plant!

Here’s what we have for in store for you:

Open all weekend long at 266 Pine Street, you can stop in to visit over 20 artist studios, 5 art exhibits, and many creative businesses!

An eclectic array of artwork throughout The Soda Plant Hallways featuring 20 vignettes of work created using specific mediums. A celebration on the theme of 20 in honor of the 20th Annual South End Art Hop!

Call to Artists: 20 Mediums Exhibit for Art Hop

Show us what you’re workin’ with!

The S.P.A.C.E. Gallery is curating the hallways of The Soda Plant for Art Hop this year and we want to see prime examples of artwork created with 2-D, 3-D, and digital methods. 20 Mediums will showcase a wide selection of what artwork has to offer, in honor of the 20th Annual Art Hop.

The deadline for the 20 Mediums exhibit has been extended from the 10th of August to the 20th!

Burlington’s New South End Arts District

The South End Arts District is officially a reality thanks to the efforts of Burlington City Arts and SEABA.  A new sign erected on the corner of Pine and Main Street directs the public toward Burlington’s South End.

The SEABA Center at 404 Pine Street will act as a new welcome center for the District. Stay tuned for more information about art-related activities and events!

To celebrate and help continue the fun for another, we are hosting a 2nd Friday opening to kick off the third annual August Art Auction. Area artists, close to the gallery have donated pieces for a month long auction ending September 2nd, the work can be found online as well, at www.augustartauction.com.
