The South End Arts District is officially a reality thanks to the efforts of Burlington City Arts and SEABA. A new sign erected on the corner of Pine and Main Street directs the public toward Burlington’s South End.
The SEABA Center at 404 Pine Street will act as a new welcome center for the District. Stay tuned for more information about art-related activities and events!

Frog Boy, by Catherine Hall
Dead Men Tell No Tales, by Adam DeVarneyAdam DeVarney delves into the heart and soul of fighter pilots past, and lost voyages of space and time. Vagabonds of the great beyond, these haunting characters search for love, lust, and revenge. This series portrays a collection of weary and weathered ghosts of aviation. DeVarney’spaintings combine drawings and acrylic wash with found image and other paper media on wood panel. His work is potent with disparate content, that when juxtaposed, begin to create a dream-like history. The work raises questions of purpose and direction while touching on emotions of inner strength and human resolve.

We recently said goodbye to Karen Klinefelter, who has left New England and set her ‘eyes’ on Idaho…and we say hello to yet another jeweler, Jane Koplewitz. Jane spent 15 years with her business on Church Street and has recently taken a home here in The Soda Plant….
